Safaris in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is characterized by breath-taking diversity of the landscapes and absolute  proximity of the wildlife making it one of the most preferd favourite country for safaris by nature fanatics.
The Zambezi to the north and the Limpopo to the south, and the many great lakes spice up all trips in Zimbabwe with water based activities. There are also a plethora of  riverside retreats which makes up pristine game viewing, serene canoe trips and even white-water rafting which is one the best trips in the world.
Wildly Beautiful, Mana Pools National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site long famed for its Zambezi canoe trails and first-class walking safaris. Nowhere else in Africa can offer such up-close-and-personal elephant and wild dog encounters.
Be it from Mana or Victoria Falls, cruising the Zambezi, past dense pods of hippos and giant crocodiles, marvelling at kingfishers and pausing only as elephant drink at the water’s edge, is perhaps the calmest safari experience we offer.

Zimbabwe’s inland plateau is dotted with rounded granite kopjes (outcrops), rugged mountains and lush forests. Close to Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park is game-rich, a park home to hundreds of different species of wild life.  Huge herds of elephants and buffalo have made this are their home, offering amazing opportunities of game adventure.
For many, a trip to Zimbabwe ends in style at Victoria Falls. Here, the mighty Zambezi, at two kilometres wide, drops a formidable 100m as a curtain of water.

Hwange National Park

Bordering the Kalahari Desert on Zimbabwe’s western edge, Hwange is the country’s largest national park. Its 5,600 square miles of desert sand, sparse woodland, grasslands and granite outcrops shelter vast herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra, giraffe and a vital predator population, including lion, leopard and cheetah. You may even see one of Hwange's select few resident white rhinoceros. Other endangered residents include gemsbok, brown hyena and African wild dog.

Mana Pools National Park

Mana Pools National Park is located in Zimbabwe along the Zambezi River and the border of Zambia. The park covers an area of 2,612 square miles (6,766 sq km).

This broad plain area generates a series of lakes during the rainy season.  As the waters begin to recede, the remaining pools become excellent game viewing locations as wildlife flocks to these natural watering holes.  It is these remaining pools that draw the animals and create this spectacular game viewing setting.

Victoeia Falls National Park

Victoria Falls is the highlight of the national park.  It is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.  Statistically speaking, it is the world’s largest waterfall and one of the most aesthetically beautiful falls as well.

It is imperative that you leverage the microlites or a helicopter and get an aerial view of the falls.  This is one of the best ways to capture the grandeur of Victoria Falls.
